When I wake up, I usually make myself a coffee, then go about getting everyone else ready for their day. My breakfast is usually a protein shake with lots of produce added in, but sometimes it takes me an hour until I get around to making it! And by then I am a grumpy, hungry person! One of my principal rules as a nutritionist is to eat within an hour of waking up, to kick start your metabolism.
These bars a super easy on-the-go breakfast, or a nice “hold you off until you can eat your real breakfast” thing.
Flour free, sugar free, egg free, and nut free (unless you use almond milk).
These also freeze nicely, so I cut them up and store them in the freezer and grab one as I need it.
