You probably haven’t spent a ton of time wondering what happens to your body after you eat something sugary – it goes in there with all the rest of the food you consume – end of story. But it’s really just the beginning.
High amounts of sugar can wreak havoc on our immune systems, hormones and digestion. Some of the negative effects are: premature aging, weight gain, fatigue, bone loss, mental fatigue, depression and it is a major contributing factor to diabetes, heart disease and cancer.
But it tastes so good! That’s why we love it. Brain scans show the same parts of our brain light up when we consume sugar as when people do cocaine. And that’s why we become physically addicted and crave it.
And that’s why I have labelled this “a challenge”, as it may be difficult to stay on track when the cravings hit – but I have provided emergency fixes and a very detailed and easy to follow meal plan and recipes.
With some advanced planning, a trip to the grocery store and a positive attitude, you will come out the other side feeling great!
Sugar is a challenge for me as well, as sugar has always been my drug of choice. I constantly have to make the choice to avoid it, and believe me, sometimes sugar wins!
It’s completely free, so you have everything to gain, and nothing to lose (except maybe your sweet tooth!)
The first 3 days of any addiction are the hardest – but when it is over you will be able to reduce your sugar intake as your taste buds quickly change and things that you used to love may begin to taste overly sweet. You may find yourself reaching for a fruit instead.
Join me on this 72 hour Sugar challenge, and you will get
- 3 days of easy to make, delicious recipes (meals and snacks)
- a shopping list to help you make those recipes
- a sugar alternatives guide
- a list of what foods and drinks you can eat and still cut sugar
And How Much Will This Cost You?
I promise after three days you will be motivated to continue replacing the sweetness in food with the sweetness in life – the sweetness that comes from our body feeling good and looking good.
The sweetness that comes from increased energy and improved health. The sweetness that comes from knowing you have control over cravings, and what you put in your body. And that’s way better than any cake out there!
